Welcome to the CanadaWide for Cancer website. David Visschedyk's nationwide cycling adventure in support of cancer research and awareness.

David cycled across Canada to raise funds for the James Fund for Neuroblastoma Research, a children's cancer charity in the summer of 2006. Read about his adventure, learn about the James Fund and ride along with David through this site.

CanadaWide for Cancer was a coast to coast ride across North America, beginning in Vancouver, B.C. and concluding in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

• Trip days total 57 -- 50 riding days and 7 rest days.
• Total distance was approximately 6,580 km and daily average is 132 kilometres.
• A pace of 25 km/h means a total of approximately 270 hours of riding, or an average of 5-6 hours a day.
